Celebrating Shabbat and holidays at MSU Hillel offers a unique opportunity to come together as a community. Each Shabbat, students join for Reform and Conservative Services and/or for a delicious Shabbat meal. Hillel has celebrations for all holidays during the year, fostering a warm community atmosphere.
Every week during the Fall and Spring semesters, 150 or more students join together at Hillel for student-led Reform and Conservative Shabbat services followed by a FREE dinner. Some students choose to come to services and meals; others may attend only services or only to join their friends for a Shabbat meal. Services are at 6pm followed by dinner at 7pm.
We gratefully acknowledge the Peter (z’l) and Shirlye (z’l) Helman Shabbat Meal Fund and the Ryan Rosman (z’l) Leadership Fund for their leadership support of Shabbat Dinners at Hillel.
Holidays & Festivals
At Passover, Hillel hosts seders on the first and second nights, as well as lunch and dinner every day. We gratefully acknowledge the Gary Davidoff Passover Endowment Fund and the Phyllis and Richard Bleznak Passover Holiday Celebration Endowment Fund for support of Hillel's Passover Seders.
